obama, VP?

What strikes me about Barack Obama saying he wouldn’t accept being Vice President is how… pompous that is.

Regardless of who wins the nomination, our country could use us some Barack. And he’d turn down Veep because of his… pride? Because Hillary Clinton is OMG SO MEEN even though she seems to carry swing states?

I thought Senator Obama was running a campaign on unity, inspiration, and affecting change. If those are your goals, wouldn’t you want to take any opportunity possible to lead? Why not serve as Veep and get excellent experience and unquestionable credentials to run in 2016?

Once again, I am on the fence as to who I will vote for in the upcoming Pennsylvania primary. I admire Obama’s message but I also admire Clinton’s tenacity. I’ll gladly vote for either over John McCain.

 Well said…

This is a brilliant move by Sen. Clinton’s campaign because if he seems willing to explore being VP at this point in his campaign, some people might jump to her side knowing that they could still have him, too. At the same time, Obama dismissing the possibility of VP may make him seem a tad arrogant to some. He is attempting to take the high road by saying that he leads in delegates and popular vote, (and rightfully so) but there is no easy counter-argument to this one, at least in perception. Very shrewd move by Sen. Clinton’s folks.
